I couldn’t understand why I had no e-mail for 24 hours because my work requires me to answer my e-mails ASAP. I got NUTHIN. Today I discovered that my e-mail has been routed to uklottery@yahoo.co.uk without my ok. They routed it, took what they wanted and discarded it. I have lost my job as a result. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything I can do? Are my friends and co-workers now in danger?

i’ve never heard of spammers/phishers compromising email accounts to redirect emails, or collect more email addresses, but the email address is a known spam account:
if you have a habit of opening emails and following links in them that then require you to login to your yahoo account then it explains where they got your username and password.
likewise if your friends aren’t wary to the signs of emails phishing for account details they may give away their details too, but i can’t see what value there is in taking access to peoples free webmail accounts that the owners won’t be able to use again.
Without giving us any details about what E-mail system you are talking about it’s kind of hard to answer this question. If you are using a Web based E-mail like Yahoo and it was setup to forward all your E-mail, then this implies to me that someone has guessed what your password is and taken over your account. I would suggest changing your password ASAP.
