It is a scam. Yahoo! does not hold lotteries. Do not reply to the email and do not click any links in the email.

yeah. definitely a scam!!

It’s a scam … these yahoo lotteries do not exist. It’s someone “phishing” for private info. Making it look like it’s from Yahoo.

daniel_s_henry on 8 April, 2009 at 11:32 am #

its a fake, tell the police.

viana_trevino@sbcglobal.net on 10 April, 2009 at 2:49 am #

it’s fake. don’t do it!!!!

conundrum_dragon on 10 April, 2009 at 9:46 pm #

No. It’s afraud
Typically involving e-mails that claim to be comming from a trusted organization such as a bank. If it asks for your account number then they will more than likely use that info to wipe out your account
don’t do it.

Most likely it is a scam, the key is do they ask for sensitive information from you like bank accounts, credit card number. ss#. The old addage of if it seems to good to be true it probably is applies here. There are hundreds of lottery scams on the net with the aim of getting your private information for the purpose of identity theft. When I get those emails, I don’t even read them any more, I delete them. If I have won money there are legitimate channels in which I can be contacted, and believe me I will refer them to my lawyer.

lol….oldest scam in the book

if u need to ask if this is a scam …then u need help

think about it …..did u even enter the said lottery ??? then why or how could u possibly win .???..
its called phishing and they send out a million emails and some dumb people fall for it , dont let u be one

ewan147 on 18 April, 2009 at 10:47 am #

It’s a fake.

You don’t get anything for nothing… Except that $100 dollars Bill Gates sent me for forwarding his email on to 50 of my friends in 5 minutes ;)

medic391 on 18 April, 2009 at 7:52 pm #

OK first of all, if you never entered, how did they find you?
second if its too good to be true, it probably isn’t.
and IF THEY WANT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!
but that’s just my opinion….good luck
