Bigsky_52 asked:

We all see about a thousand questions asking if such and such online lottery (which you didn’t even enter!) is legit or not. We all know they’re a scam. So is there any way to hit back at the scammers? They include an email address, any way to spam bomb the server? Are there any good mass marketing sites you can give the address to? I know that deleting an email account is child’s play, I’m just annoyed and looking to hit back. Anybody know a good way to do this?
Inspector-
I’d take that bet. I’ve been employed for three years, was in grad school for 2.5 years before that. I don’t get many of these, it just annoys me that my spambox gets ANY. These people suck. I just want to make their days awful.

Create your OWN SPAM AND SEND IT TO THEM BACK

Aswell as all your friends and tell them to forward it. You’ll be amazed how fast it spreads.

in the title put ((***WARNING ABOUT THESE SCAMERS(*****

Stuff like that….and put a 1 sentence discription of it in the title asking them to politely pass it along.

While it will spread quick you might even save someone from being scamed. Imagin them getting the scam email and your WARNING one on the same day on top of each other?

Well whatever you do send one to the scammers so they know they are being spammed back at….but to fight them.

YES! Forward the email to: Its a govt.server to track those emails.
Also, I’ll bet you were looking for a job recently. Seems I’d get 10 emails a day until I took my info off the Monster and other job boards (from over a year ago).

Firstly you can ignore those who say it is not possible, it is but unless you are an expert I would strongly recommend that you don’t go there. There is a website which will tell you more about it. There are people who are doing what you suggest but remember this, some spammers, and those who are running lottery scams are quite often organised criminal gangs. Unless you are absolutely sure that you can cover your tracks completely don’t mess with them. Leave it to the experts.
