The link is to a page on the official National Lottery web site.

It states on there that when the National Lottery send you an email it will not be from a Yahoo! email address. In fact the page actually tells you the only email addresses they use.

Secondly, the same page will tell you that the lottery never reveals the amount of a win via email.

The bottom line, the only way to win the lottery in the UK is to pay to play. You need to buy a ticket, check your numbers, and if you win call the claim hotline.

People in the UK would be really upset if the National Lottery started taking money from the prize pool and giving it to random foreigners who had never played the lottery. Seriously, how would you feel if you paid to enter a lottery and some random woman from Iceland won the jackpot? Wouldn’t you feel a little cheated that you paid to win a prize and someone who didn’t won?

So the bottom line is, it’s all a con trick, all these people want is your personal information so they can rip you off. There is no prize waiting for you.
