UK Lottery
Carlos asked:

They tell me my ticket was drawn as the winner, which I never bought, and they ask me to fill out a form with my personal information like country, name, address, phone number, and according to the different mails I´ve gotten I have won the UK lottery and the NewCastle Lottery

all a scam…give no info…

rustyshackleford001 on 31 January, 2009 at 11:06 pm #

Of course it’s a scam. I’ll bet they’re asking for your bank account numbers, or asking you to pay an up-front fee to receive your prize. Right?

Think about it: When you buy a lotto ticket, do you give your email address to anyone?

haikuhi2002 on 6 February, 2009 at 8:55 pm #

Scam
Definately report it before they scam some poor old person and perhaps make off with their money. I don’t know where you’d be able to report it but maybe ome of the other answers can help.

IT IS A PHISHING SCAM. They are fishing. Don’t take the bait. Don’t even email them back, because then they have your real name if it is on your email address! Just because they emailed you doesn’t mean they have your name. This is how they try to get it. They also have a habit of sending other scam emails that are connected in a 3 day time slot. Then they stop & start up again, trying something else to get you to BITE. Don’t fall for any of them. Just delete them & don’t forget to delete them from your trash bin also. I don’t even open them anymore because they could have tracking viruses in them.

The only way to win the lottery is to buy a ticket AND get very lucky. Spam on the other hand has nothing to do with luck. Report it as spam and delete it.
