I keep getting them in spite of marking them as spam and in spite of having a firewall, anti-virus and anti-spyware on my computer. Is there any way to get rid of them once and for all and prevent them from getting to my inbox?

put them in spam or delete without opening.
I wonder they still hope to fool people.

I get them all the time and it sucks. The only thing that I could do to get them to stop is to block there email address so they could not send me anything else. It is a hassle though because I have to do it for everyone of there addresses when they email me.

I get them all of the time. I just delete them because I realized a long time ago that once your address is out there so long; you get stuff like this.

No, unless you buy an anti-spam,anti-phishing scam mail filter but you can take some actions against those so that not only you but others will be free from those scams.

If any mail impersonates Yahoo! telling you that you have won moneytary prize or lottery then its not true and that is a ‘phishing mail’ or scam!
Read that from here and take actions accordingly:
If you received an email impersonating Yahoo! and would like to report it please forward the email to:
Federal Trade Commission:
Treasury Department:

Upgrade your Yahoo! mail to Yahoo! Mail plus..it has better spam and scam protection capability with some monetary subscription.
Or down load and install McAfee anti-spam-phishing mail filter in your pc but it can cost you some dollars.

Most of these you can transfer to your spam blocker, other you just close out and go on about your business. The ones that can be put into your spam blocker have a blue frame that says Spam blocker utilities.

I get a lot of those. Sometimes they say that you’ve won a free laptop, free phone, whatever. I usually just mark them as spam and they go straight to the bulk mail.
